Tonight’s AEW Dynamite is the go-home show before All In Texas this Saturday, and the division looks to get even more heated as they approach the company’s biggest pay-per-view of the year.
The show opens up with none other than “The CEO,” Mercedes Moné, as she meets face-to-face with the AEW Women’s World Champion, Toni Storm. The two face each other at All In for the championship and have been playing games for quite a few months now.
Moné wants to toast, but Storm roasts her in the meantime. Storm says that all those titles are just masks for her to hide behind, because she just can’t win the big one.
The CEO finally takes her seriously and says that she’s been through hell and made the devil her “bitch.” Despite the hate, her legacy will prevail.
Storm says that Moné fears an ordinary life, but she fears an ordinary death, and all that matters is when they step into that ring. She believes Moné deserves all the titles, except the one she holds. Both toast, but Storm tells Moné to “eat shit, bitch” as The CEO gets sent running to the back.
The Casino Gauntlet Match is set to take place at All In, with Kris Statlander taking the #1 spot in that match. But tonight, we determine those same odds as we determine the #2 in a four-way match between Megan Bayne, Tay Melo, Thekla, and Queen Aminata.
As the match gets underway, the women spill to the outside of the ring and decide to take flight.
Bayne reminds everyone why she’s the dominant force of the match as she sends everyone crashing down hard. Penelope Ford gets involved, but Anna Jay puts a halt to it as the two start brawling. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Bayne proves to be too much as she lands a powerbomb on Aminata to secure the #2 spot.
Renee Paquette looks to catch up with Thekla backstage, only for Aminata to start coming for her.
