After a roaring All In Texas this past weekend, we follow up with the aftermath of AEW’s biggest pay-per-view as we return to AEW Dynamite tonight.
Two heated rivalries have been cooking within the AEW women’s division as of late. Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale’s friendship is well beyond repair. Meanwhile, Queen Aminata and Thekla cannot stand the sight of each other. As for tonight, what better way to pit them against each other than fight for $100k in a 4-way match.
Thekla meets the fate of Stalling Suplex at the hands of Statlander. As they all spill to the outside of the ring, “The Toxic Spider” decides to go high flying.
All four competitors are doing whatever it takes to win the big money and are all on an even playing field.
Nightingale pops in Babe with the Powerbomb on Thekla, but Statlander pulls the referee out of the ring. Statlander and Nightingale continue to brawl towards the back. Meanwhile, Aminata attempts to take care of Thekla for good, only for a two-count.
Out of the blue, Skye Blue appears and distracts the referee as Julia Hart comes in to mist Aminata. This interesting partnership leads Thekla to stomp on Aminata and take home that $100K.
Next, we hear from the AEW Women’s World Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm, after defending her belt at All In Texas against “The CEO” Mercedes Moné. Storm has now done what had seemed impossible, and not only retained her title but put a stop to Moné’s undefeated singles streak.
Storm boasts in all her glory despite her right-hand man, Luther, being out of action. She is ready for Moné to come back for seconds, but is now looking forward to the future. Speaking of her future, the Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion, Athena, has something to say.
After winning the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In, Athena now has a shot at the AEW Women’s World Title. It’s only a matter of when, but it’s no matter to Storm as she is “Timeless.”
Next week, Athena’s minion, Billie Starkz, is set to go one-on-one with the Timeless one herself.
