Clippers Strongly Considering Signing Chris Paul

The Los Angeles Clippers have interest in signing Chris Paul after also adding Bradley Beal to their roster this week.

“What I’d say about Chris is he’s a great player,” Lawrence Frank said when asked if the Clippers will sign Paul next. “He’s a great Clipper. He obviously possesses some of the qualities we [are looking for]. And, of course, we’re strongly, strongly considering him.”

Paul left the Clippers in 2017 in an opt-in-and-trade move to the Houston Rockets. Paul recently went on record indicating the 2025-26 season would be his final one in the NBA. Paul played in all 82 games for the San Antonio Spurs last season. Paul would like to play closer to his home in Los Angeles this season after playing for the Spurs.

The Clippers could use another capable point guard to play behind James Harden, who was teammates with Paul for two successful but ultimately volatile season with the Houston Rockets.
