Tonight on AEW Dynamite, we determine who will represent AEW in the Forbidden Door four-way TBS Championship match amongst Alex Windosr, Queen Aminata, Skye Blue, and Billie Starkz.
First, Renee Paquette catches up with Alex Windsor along with the AEW Women’s World Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm. Windsor is more than determined to take this win to the UK.
“8 Belts” Mercedes Moné is back on AEW Dynamite tonight, and Paquette looks to catch up with her ever since her loss at All In. Moné tells Paquette not to be “such a mark” and goes about her business.
As the match gets underway, Athena makes her way with Starkz. But, watching this match closely is Storm herself.
Aminata gives Windsor some chocolate kisses, meanwhile, the action spills to the outside as Starkz goes airborne.
All four competitors are giving it their best for a shot at the TBS title. Despite previous friendly encounters, Aminata and Windsor end up butting heads.
Windsor takes up Blue on the top rope, but Windsor ends up eating a powerbomb. Aminata breaks it up, but as she goes for the pin, Starkz lands a senton on Blue. Aminata drives Blue through a chair, and back in the ring, Athena gets involved for Storm to break it up. Windsor cradles Starkz and picks up the win, and now heads to Forbidden Door.
Speaking of the TBS Champion, Moné finally makes her appearance and confronts Windsor. Storm makes her way inside the ring, who has a lot of history with Moné. Athena lands a surprise O-Face on Storm, as Windsor eats a backbreaker from Moné. For these two rivals, it looks like they’re on the same page tonight.
Backstage, we catch up with Aminata along with Willow Nightingale. The two, along with Tay Melo, want to issue a challenge this Saturday at Triangle of Madness against Blue and Julia Hart, and Thekla. Kris Statlander also appears and goes in for a group hug. Both Aminata and Nightingale are not buying it, and the issues between Nightingale and Statlander seem to be ongoing.
