Since moving on from her feud with Lyra Valkyria and Bayley, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch continues to have her hands full. With Nikki Bella, Maxxine Dupri, and Natalya all vying for the gold. Lynch has defeated Dupri and Natalya to retain her title so far and Nikki is likely next, but Natalya seems far from finished.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Natalya becomes very candid on when we may see her Nattie Neidhart side in WWE. The side she has been showing in other promotions.
“Becky Lynch doesn’t get to decide when she gets Nattie. Becky Lynch does not get to dictate when she gets Nattie. And so Becky thought she was real clever when she put out a little tweet saying, ‘I don’t want Natalya, I’m sick of Natalya, I want Nattie.’ Well Becky, in all honesty, you don’t get to decide when Nattie comes to play. You can be a bully to Maxxine. You can be a bully to Nikki Bella. You can be a bully to Natalya. But you don’t decide when Nattie comes to play. Nattie will fucking decide that.”
Natalya continues to say that Nattie will come to play when everything is aligned and ready.
Nikki Bella will be at Raw next Monday after she got some payback on Lynch this week.
Natalya continues to talk about the Nattie character…
“I’m so passionate about what I’ve built alone. I built Nattie alone. I did not have any help building her. I did not have—and this isn’t a diss to WWE, this isn’t a diss to anyone—this is just me speaking from my heart. I’ve worked on her alone. I didn’t wait for anybody to come to me with an idea. I didn’t wait for the machine to get behind it. I just wanted to build her and show everyone,
—I’ve been in WWE for a long time and I’m telling you, you cannot wait for other people to just hand you shit. You cannot just wait for the writers to come up with a grandiose idea or for Triple H to be like, ‘Hey, I was thinking—‘ they have so much going on. This company is ever-moving, it’s moving so fast. I mean, Triple H has got like 18 jobs. He’s now got a job at the White House. He’s the busiest person I’ve ever met in my life.
Thankfully he’s young and energetic and he’s able to do all of it. But I’m not going to wait for him to come up with the perfect idea for me, because to me, those moments—you’ve got to find inspiration in yourself. Nobody knows Nattie better than Nattie knows Nattie.”
Nattie appears on the podcast with her arm in a sling. Her arm was a target in her match against Lynch last Monday. There’s no word that this injury is real or likely kayfabe.
