Nikki Bella will be getting her shot at Becky Lynch and the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship this weekend at Clash in Paris on Sunday.
On the Aug. 25 episode of Raw, Lynch took to the ring and it wasn’t before long that Nikki made her way out to speak. Lynch said she went out to the ring first, because she is not going to be just some dog that will listen to a whistle and come when called. The words flew the moment Nikki took to the mic, saying that if Becky isn’t a dog then why is she acting like a little bitch.
Nikki continues to taunt Becky, letting her know that she wants a title opportunity and says The Man has lost her balls. Lynch claps back saying she has balls. But Nikki calls her a cheat, cheap, and another C word. A coward!
Lynch says that Nikki can have her title shot, but it will be at Clash in Paris and not in Birmingham, as it is a dump and the only good thing that came out of the city died a month ago. Referencing Ozzy Osbourne who had enough sense to move to LA. She says that if she lived in Birmingham, she’d die too. Nikki says she knows why Becky is so mad, her name will never be as big as Bella.
Lynch went for a shot at Nikki, but Nikki caught it. A ManHandle Slam attempt was turned into a Rack Attack 2.0, but Becky was able to get away as Nikki holds the IC Title up before tossing it to the champion.
Elsewhere on Raw, Rhea Ripley took on Roxanne Perez. Before the match, Ripley let IYO SKY know that they should probably keep away from each other for a while. Ripley was able to get the victory on Perez, but the two-on-one attack by the Judgment Day did resort into SKY making the save.
Backstage, Ripley and SKY joke about the “go our separate ways” talk they had earlier. Asuka and Kairi Sane approach and Asuka is still livid that Ripley has seemingly formed a bond with SKY and that Ripley won’t stay out of their business. After Asuka stormed off, SKY tried to reason with Sane who got upset and left as well.
A third vignette aired for Bayley and it is more clear than ever now that both The Hugger and The Role Model are trying to take over her mind. The two argue about Bayley including The Hugger being the optimist let her know that she may not have had a WrestleMania match this year, but she’s had them before. She’s even been champ walking in and walking out. Hugger Bayley continues to tell her that she has been a success and that she won the NXT Women’s Champion as a result saying that was the best day of her life. Role Model Bayley says nobody even talks about Hugger Bayley anymore as we’ve moved past her. The two argue over and over again with the Role Model even saying that she had held two championships at once. This continues until Bayley yells at them to stop as the screen goes black.
Lyra Valkyria did express concern once again for Bayley after this vignette.
