After an explosive AEW Forbidden Door this past weekend, we look to progress with AEW Dynamite in the 2300 Arena tonight.
The team of Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford are back in action tonight as they take on the interesting pairing of Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander. Statlander and Cameron have seemed to get along as of late, but their tag team prowess is put to the test tonight.
The match is fast and furious with both Cameron and Statlander working in succession, as well as Bayne and Ford. But, Statlander manages to catch Penelope and plant her in the middle of the ring. She then locks in a submission to pick up the win.
Post-match, Statlander and Bayne continue to brawl it out, but, Willow Nightingale puts a stop to it. The crowd tells them to hug their issues out, meanwhile Cameron plays peacemaker.
“The CEO” Mercedes Moné is in the 2300 Arena tonight as she addresses her successful TBS Championship defense at Forbidden Door. With nine belts on display, she’s looking for her 10th one, just like the Ultimo Dragon once had, but this time, she wants to smash that record. And, if Alex Windsor wants another chance at the TBS title, then “The CEO” promises to beat her senseless.
Mina Shirakawa is back and has her sights set on taking the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship at Death Before Dishonor this Friday. The AEW Women’s World Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm is with her and boasts about her successful defense at Forbidden Door. The ROH Women’s World Champion, Athena, is determined not to lose it so easily, but Shirakawa is dead set on getting her revenge.
