Could WWE fans finally be getting an AJ Lee return?
Ever since CM Punk’s return to WWE, there have been more and more hopes from fans that AJ Lee will return. The former three-time Divas Champion has been a hope for at least a Royal Rumble return. However, we have received the closest possibility of her returning since Drew McIntyre’s feud with Punk.
To end Clash in Paris, Lynch assisted her husband, Seth Rollins, in retaining the World Heavyweight Title. It was a Fatal Four Way match, but it was Punk that Lynch delivered a low blow to in order to have Rollins pin him to retain.
In a report by Fightful Select, “WWE sources have indicated that AJ Lee’s name has been brought up in numerous pitches internally as of late.” Fightful can confirm that “an AJ Lee return is a go, but sources in WWE said there has been more traction on it as of late than in previous years.”
This news has also been confirmed by The Takedown on SI, who says they have heard that Lee has been brought up in WWE creative meetings in recent months.
