The winner of the men’s and women’s singles at the US Open will each pocket £3.74m ($5m) in prize money from the 2025 tournament in New York.
The prize pot has been boosted by 39% since 2024, when Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka each received £2.84m ($3.6m) for winning at Flushing Meadows.
The US Open has the biggest total prize money on offer of any Grand Slam, with £67.3m ($90m) shared out between the men’s, women’s, doubles and wheelchair competitors.
The other Grand Slams in 2025 have awarded £53.5m in prize money at Wimbledon, £47m at the Australian Open, and £49m at the French Open.

The US Open singles draw prize money:
Winner: £3.73m
Runner-up: £1.87m
Semi-final: £943,000
Quarter-final: £494,000
Round four: £299,000
Round three: £177,000
Round two: £115,000
Round one: £82,000
The 2025 US Open started with a new stand-alone mixed doubles championship, with Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori taking home £736,880 ($1m) between them for beating Casper Ruud and Iga Swiatek in the final.
Men’s and women’s doubles pairs will bank close to £750,000 for winning.
A total of £1.2m will be shared out across the wheelchair competition.
