Nikki Bella is coming off of her first championship match since 2018. It took place over last weekend at the Clash in Paris premium live event where she challenged Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
According to Nikki, while chatting on her Nikki & Brie Show podcast, this match was originally planned for Raw. The match was moved to the Paris event a week before it took place. This was because the Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer match was canceled due to Naomi’s pregnancy announcement.
This has led to the belief that there was only ever going to be one women’s match on the Clash in Paris card.
