A gigantic milestone has been reached as Athena is now 1,000 days as ROH Women’s World Champion. Reaching 1,000 days as a champion is rare and reaching it as a Black woman in the industry is unheard of.
As the “forever champion,” Athena has defended this belt a total of 31 times, with her most recent defense at Death Before Dishonor against Mina Shirakawa. She uwon the gold back in 2022 from Mercedes Martinez at Final Battle.
Athena has recently been working more in AEW and was unsuccessful against Toni Storm to capture the AEW Women’s World Title at Forbidden Door.
