NXT in its early days was a competition show to find the next talent to sign a contract to WWE. In its third season, it was all for the Divas as six women vyed for the contract. In that were Jamie Keyes, Maxine, Aksana, AJ Lee, Naomi, and the winner – Kaitlyn.
Three of these women went on to become champions in WWE, and as of today Sept. 7, it has been 15 years since they debuted on this NXT season. With this and AJ Lee’s recent return after a decade, this definitely is cause for celebration.
Lee accomplished so much in the five years she shared her talent with us. A former FCW Divas Champion, Queen of FCW, and three-time Divas Champion.
Naomi has chosen a longer path and has been consistently active for the past 15 years. She is the inaugural FCW Divas Champion, a former two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, a two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, and a former Women’s World Champion (under the same lineage as SmackDown Women’s Title). She had also became the TNA Knockouts World Champion.
