Triangle of Madness Left Standing in Philly; Riho Defeats Her Mentor In Tag Action

AEW Dynamite is back in the 2300 Arena tonight as we inch closer towards All Out.

“The CEO” Mercedes Moné is in tag team action tonight against her rivals, Alex Windsor and the returning Riho. Interestingly, Moné’s chosen tag team partner is Emi Sakura, who was Riho’s mentor.

Riho and Windsor are off to a rocking start as they send both Moné and Sakura off their feet.

Both teams work in great succession, and Riho manages to stomp through Moné.

As the action spills throughout the ring, Moné is left eating a Sharpshooter on the ropes. Meanwhile, Riho locks in a Single Leg Boston Crab on Sakura to pick up the win.

It wouldn’t be the 2300 with a good old Philly Street Fight as the AEW Women’s World Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm, takes on the likes of Skye Blue.

Storm batters away at Blue with some kendo sticks, but Storm gets caught on the ropes as Blue staples away at her lady parts. Blue also gets a taste of her own medicine as she retreats out to the ring.

The two are perched on the barricade and both send each other crashing. Storm smells a rat and unloads a table full of mouse traps. Blue manages to fight through and powerbombs Storm through the mouse traps.

Storm swats Blue with an electric fly swatter, and as they retreat to the top rope, Blue powerbombs Blue onto a trash can. But it’s not enough as Storm hits the Storm Zero on a chair to pick up the win.

Post-match, the rest of Triangle of Madness, Julia Hart, and Thekla, attack Storm from behind. Kris Statlander makes the save, but is outnumbered. Jamie Hayter comes out to even the odds, but miscalculates as she takes out Statlander. The Triangle of Madness have taken out their opposition, leaving the rest of the division on notice.

Backstage, Renee Paquette is with Willow Nightingale backstage who has issues with Marina Shafire. Harley Cameron interrupts and has a song for Nightingale. Despite Cameron’s good intentions, Nightingale still has no trust for Statlander.
