The Indianapolis Colts need Anthony Richardson to be on the field.

He didn’t have a lot of experience in college, and he missed most of his rookie season with injuries.

Now, just four games into his second season, he also dealing with injuries again.

There were already some concerns about his durability and his playing style, and this only added to the ‘injury-prone’ narrative.

Notably, Richardson didn’t like that at all, and he claimed that the fans would also be sore and hurt if they were out there and did what he did.

With that in mind, former player Mitchell Schwartz took to X to call him out for those comments.

He claimed that his logic didn’t work because he’s 1 of 32, so he has to be measured against and compared to other quarterbacks, not normal people.

Schwartz also claimed that Richardson is arguably the best combination of size/speed/strength the league has ever seen at the quarterback position, which is why people talk about him and his health.

That’s right on point.

Regular people don’t make millions of dollars to play sports, so why should they be the measuring stick for professional athletes?

The average person wouldn’t even dare to think that they could go out there and play professional football; that’s just not happening.

But those who have the privilege to do so will have to be held accountable accordingly.

That’s a part of the gig.
